• Ownership of product and technical requirements in production.
• Tracking and optimizing production yield, product and production performance.
• Product data analysis, feedback to Wafer Fab and Test.
• Managing improvements of existing products and product variants/customizations.
• Defining and managing screening and wafer certification process across manufacturing sites.

The Bigger Picture

You will be part of a team consisting of other engineers, where you will report to the Senior Director Operations.Together with your colleagues from the team, you will collaborate closely both with R&D, Wafer processing and with other manufacturing facilities.

The position is full-time, 38.75 h/week. This is a role that requires a certain operational proximity to the facility, but free working hours are applied and the possibility to work from home on certain occasions is possible.

During the holiday break, response times will be extended. We will get back to you regarding your application in January.

• hold M.Sc. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Optical Communications.
• have experience in Semiconductor industry, Optical communications or Product engineering.

• have strong communication skills in English.
• have worked in a similar role before and have knowledge/experience in, for example, semiconductor lasers.
• It is advantageous if you have knowledge of the Swedish language and/or have experience in Testing & Measurement.

In the role of Product engineer, you will work together with your colleagues to manage and develop existing and future product families in the best way to contribute to high efficiency and quality.

Your Responsibilities

• Tracking and optimizing production yield and product performance.
• Product data analysis, product performance feedback to Wafer Fab and Test.
• Defining and managing wafer certification process across manufacturing sites.
• Ownership of product and test specifications in production.
• Managing improvements to current product´s yields and product screening.
• Tracking and presenting product and production performance.
• Leading technical investigations and root cause analysis in production.

The Bigger Picture

You will be part of a team consisting of other engineers, where you will report to the Manager Product Management. Together with your colleagues from the team, you will collaborate closely both with R&D, Wafer processing and with other manufacturing facilities, mainly those located in China.

The position is full-time, 38.75 h/week. This is a role that requires a certain operational proximity to the facility, but free working hours are applied and the possibility to work from home on certain occasions is possible.

Our Expectations

We attach great importance to your personal qualities, but to be relevant for this role it is required that you:

• M.S. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Optical Communications.
• experience in Semiconductor industry, Optical communications or Product engineering.
• has experience/knowledge of statistical data analysis and presentation and therefore also has experience of working with statistical analysis tools.
• have strong communication skills in English.
• worked in a similar role before and therefore has knowledge/experience in, for example, semiconductor lasers.
• It is advantageous if you have knowledge of the Swedish language and/or have experience in testing/measurement.

THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Sustaining engineering of production test systems that are located in Sweden or at partner locations in Asia.
• Continuous improvement of the test systems to achieve higher availability, product yield and efficiency.
• Participate in new product development as manufacturing test representative.
• Test development of new generation test systems.
• Support R&D projects with various tasks and as a customer to the R&D test development.

 

IN ADDITION...

You become part of a competent team consisting of 10 engineers and you report to Manager Manufacturing Engineering. The service is full-time 38.75 h / week, II-VI works with trust-working hours 06.00-23.00 Monday to Friday, but you must be available during office hours. 

WHO ARE YOU?

We are looking for you who have an MSc degree in electronics, physics or equivalent education, and you have work experience from a production test environment. You are fluent in English speaking and writing, it is also an advantage if you have Swedish skills.

In addition to the above, great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities. In the role of Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will manage, develop and improve the test systems you work with. Job description
You will be a member of the sourcing commodity group Electronic within the Sourcing and Supply organization in Surveillance Järfälla. The department contains of 20 persons working with strategic and operative purchasing. You will work closely together in Supplier teams.
The role also includes interfaces like engineering and quality management.

Tasks will include:

- Manage supplier audit planning and perform activities such as audits and qualifications at supplier in order to ensure their
ability as well as qualify process, product quality and delivery capability at supplier’s production site.
- All supplier performance activities across all functional teams within Surveillance, both in ongoing production programs as well
as in supplier development programs
- Work proactive with risk mitigations and preventive improvements in close cooperation both internally and with our suppliers
- Identify and communicate relevant requirements in the supply chain and preparation of inbound processes; covering risk areas
related to products quality and delivery capability
- Manage supplier deviations with strong focus in improvements by challenge and support suppliers in defining and
implementing preventive actions.
- Work on a global supplier market in close relation with suppliers.



Your profile
To thrive in this role, you are a self-motivated person business oriented person with a great communication skill. You are used to collaborate with team members where the team also involves external interfaces. You are structured and have an analytical mindset. Swedish and English both spoken and written is required for this role since our Suppliers are situated all over the world with the majority in Europe. The role requires that you are available to travel for on-site visits to the suppliers.
